1. General Investment Risk

All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. The value of any security can go down as well as up, and past performance does not guarantee or predict future results. Income Factory does not predict market direction, time entries or exits, or guarantee any outcome. You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any trade is appropriate for your own circumstances, and for any gains or losses that result.

2. Options-Specific Risks (Assignment, Time Decay, Capped Upside on Covered Calls, Liquidity)

Covered call options carry risks specific to the strategy:

  • Assignment. When you sell a covered call, your shares may be called away (sold at the strike price) at any time before expiration if the option is in the money. Assignment can happen earlier than you expect — for example, around an ex-dividend date — and may have tax consequences.
  • Time decay. Options lose value as expiration approaches. This works in favor of a covered call seller, but it also means option prices move for reasons unrelated to the stock.
  • Capped upside. Selling a covered call limits how much you can gain if the stock rises above the strike. If the stock rallies sharply, you keep the premium and the gain up to the strike, but you give up the gain above it.
  • Liquidity. Some options have wide bid-ask spreads or thin trading volume. You may not be able to buy or sell an option at the price you expect, and execution costs can consume a meaningful share of the premium.

Options are not suitable for every investor. Before trading options you should understand the risks and, if you are unsure, consult a licensed financial professional. [COUNSEL — confirm whether the standard OCC "Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options" (ODD) reference/link should appear here.]

3. Market Data Latency & Accuracy

The prices, premiums, yields, and other figures Income Factory shows are based on third-party market data that may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Figures are estimates as of the time they were generated and will differ from the live prices you see at your broker when you actually place a trade. Always confirm the current market price and the actual fill you can get before acting. We do not guarantee that any premium, strike, or yield shown is available or executable.

4. Backtest & Simulation Limitations

Some income estimates are based on a backtest of the Income Factory engine against historical options data. Backtested and simulated results are hypothetical, are calculated with the benefit of hindsight, and do not represent actual trading. They do not account for every cost, tax, or market condition you would face in practice, and a period used in a backtest may reflect unusually favorable or unusually volatile conditions that are unlikely to repeat. Hypothetical and backtested performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. [COUNSEL — Q3: this is the core qualifier for the /analyze estimator's backtested ranges; confirm sufficiency and placement adjacent to the numeric displays.]

5. No Performance Guarantee

Income Factory does not guarantee any level of income, yield, or return. Any dollar amounts, percentages, or ranges we show are illustrative estimates, not promises. Your actual results depend on market conditions, the prices you actually trade at, your own decisions, taxes, and fees, and may be materially lower than any estimate — including zero or a loss. [COUNSEL — Q3/Q5: confirms the line between an estimate and a performance claim, including the "value delivered" dashboard question.]
